Located in the heart of Dennistoun, Glasgow, our Duke Street funeral home is comfortable and nicely appointed with a private arrangement & viewing room.
Funeral costs vary according to the type of ceremony you choose.
Our Traditional Option has been assembled to include products and services that when combined enables us to keep costs low.
Alternatively the Essentials Option, which is a simple and dignified send-off in itself, offers an ideal starting place if you prefer to build a bespoke, unique tribute to your loved one using your own suppliers i.e., florist, printer etc.
Calder Moore’s Direct Cremation Option is a discrete unattended farewell.
Funerals for children under 18 years of age – our professional services are free of charge, including a suitably sized coffin/casket & conveyance by hearse or other suitable vehicle on the day of the funeral service (excludes third party costs).
Our Funeral Options
Direct Cremation Option Includes Cremation Fee
This is an unattended private funeral where family and friends may choose to have a ceremony or service for the deceased but they do not attend the cremation itself, it includes:

Preparing and submitting all necessary legal and administrative paperwork

Liaising with all third parties on your behalf

Bringing the deceased into our care from place of death at any hour

Care of the deceased at our Care and Administration premises until the day of the funeral, including simple preparation and gown

Provision of a light oak veneered coffin, lined and fully furnished
-
Home visit or telephone appointment for all funeral arrangements, if preferred

Conveyance of the deceased to the crematorium

Collection and return of cremated remains
Essentials Option
(Excludes Cremation / Burial Fees)Our "Essentials"option is a dignified, affordable way to say goodbye to a loved one, it includes:

Preparing and submitting all necessary legal and administrative paperwork

Liaising with all third parties on your behalf

Bringing the deceased into our care from place of death at any hour

Care of the deceased at our Care and Administration premises until the day of the funeral, including simple preparation and gown

Provision of a light oak veneered coffin, lined and fully furnished

Home visit or telephone appointment for all funeral arrangements, if preferred

Conveyance of the deceased by traditional hearse on the day of the funeral directly to the crematorium or cemetery

Services of the funeral director and personnel to oversee the funeral

Collection and return of cremated remains

A chauffeur-driven limousine (up to six passengers) can be hired for an additional £185 to collect family from a single point, to then meet the hearse at the crematorium or cemetery gates, and after the service return to the pick up point or funeral reception (visiting/viewing the deceased is excluded).
